Life is precious. It holds promise, expectation and anticipation. There are also obstacles, illnesses and grief. The beauty of life is in the positives and the negatives, the joys and sorrows, the fighting and the loving. Life is a gift of opportunity, hopes and dreams.
Whenever it is taken down to a choice, it is lessened. When it actually became a choice, it started to lose its value and it will only get worse as times goes on. More decisions and opinions will only increase the reasons why life should not be granted or should be taken away from someone.
The world also becomes a more hostile place as life loses its value. Murders, rapes, mass shootings, abuse, among other atrocities, have become the norm. At the heart of each of these is the lack of concern for life, unless it is our own or someone we care about and want to be present.
But life is not a commodity to be bought, sold or traded and it’s not a material possession to throw away or discard if it is no longer wanted or it becomes a burden. When life is not given a chance, there is no hope. With life, anything is possible. Without it, nothing is possible.
Life is always worth fighting for.
